For the past decade, Indonesia has shown a remarkable performance as one of the largest and fastest growing global economies. Whereas Bangladesh, the rising Asian Tiger of the economy, demonstrates an astonishingly smooth and even growth path despite recovering from the 2021 global pandemic. Both countries are part of The Next Eleven (N-11), a term coined by Goldman Sachs in late 2005 to represent eleven countries with BRIC-like potential in rivalling G7 nations. The shared cultures, market size and geo-economic locations demonstrate potential cooperation for both countries to collaborate deeper and deliver stronger ties of economic, trade, technology and e-commerce regional partnership. Riding on the G20 Presidency of Indonesia, the ‘Business Delegation to Digital Economy, Startup Investment and E-Commerce’ is hosted by the Good City Foundation, with the collaborations from the Bangladesh government’s Aspire to Innovate (a2i) and offices of the Indonesian government to facilitate technology-driven trade and e-commerce delegations to visit Indonesia for exploring trade and investment opportunities.
